How to Set Up Omni Connect

  • Updated

Setting up your Omni One for PCVR requires the proper software configuration to ensure seamless integration with your PC and VR gaming setup. Follow this step-by-step guide to prepare Omni Connect and install necessary apps for the best experience.

Step 1: Install Omni Connect on Your PC

Download the Omni Connect PC driver:

Download Omni Connect Beta

Windows may warn you against running the enclosed file. Please select 'More info' to bypass this warning.

Install Omni Connect:

  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Once installed, locate the Omni Connect resources folder which contains the params.txt file:
[Your Drive]\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\drivers\omnione\resources
  • Create a shortcut to the folder or pin it to your Quick Access menu for easy access
To play different games with your Omni One, you’ll need to replace the params.txt file for each game (this file name cannot be changed). To streamline this process, we recommend creating a ‘Games’ folder, with subfolders for each game. Each subfolder should contain a dedicated params.txt file configured specifically for that game.

Step 2: Install Streaming Apps on Your Headset

Omni One works with various PCVR platforms. Install the appropriate streaming app for your VR headset:

Alternatively, for Pico and Quest headsets, you can use the premium streaming software ‘Virtual Desktop.’ and purchase the companion app by searching for ‘Virtual Desktop’ in your headset’s app store.
