How to Update the Omni One Headset’s Streaming App

  • Updated

Before installing version 1.2.9 of the Business Streaming app on the Omni One headset, you should uninstall v1.0.0 of the desktop app, if you have it on your computer. To do so, press the Windows key, type ‘Business Streaming’ and select ‘Uninstall’ for this app.

Next, follow the instructions below to update the version of Business Streaming on your headset to 1.2.9, and download the matching desktop app.

Step 1: Download ADB (Android Debugger Bridge)

Download ADB

You need the file 'ADB.exe,' to be extracted onto your computer. You can put it anywhere, provided you also put the new Business Streaming APK file in the same folder as ADB.exe. For this example, we'll extract ADB.exe to the downloads folder.

Step 2: Download the new streaming app

Place this APK file into the same folder as ADB.exe (in this example, Downloads).

Step 3: Enable USB Debug on your headset.

  • Navigate to Settings > Device > Device Information in your headset.
  • Find the launcher version number and click on it repeatedly until the Developer Options category is enabled on the left side of the screen.

Exiting SteamVR may require Steam to be restarted before you can stream again (you must exit SteamVR to return to the Omni menu).

Calibration needs to be performed using the recenter icon in the SteamVR overlay before you play.

It is not yet possible to access the Omni menu once the headset connects to SteamVR, so ensure that you've performed your boundary setup in the headset before connecting to SteamVR.
