PCVR Software Preparation

Setting up your Omni One for PCVR requires the proper software configuration to ensure seamless integration with your PC and VR gaming setup. Follow this step-by-step guide to prepare Omni Connect and install necessary apps for the best experience.

Step 1: Install SteamVR on Your PC

Download and install SteamVR if you don't already have it:

Download SteamVR

Step 2: Install Omni Connect on Your PC

Download the Omni Connect PC driver:

Download Omni Connect

Windows may warn you against running the enclosed file. Please select 'More info' to bypass this warning.

Install Omni Connect:

  • Manually uninstall any previous version of Omni Connect.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Omni Connect automatically detects if you launch a SteamVR game that is officially supported and applies one of our Official Game Profiles and bindings, enabling a plug-and-play experience. We will periodically update Omni Connect, adding more features and support for more games, and you will be prompted to update Omni Connect when launching the app, if an update is available. New automatic profiles and bindings may become available with these updates.

Officially Supported Games:

Check if there are any game-specific instructions that need to be applied to enable or optimize the movement experience, which you'll find here:

Supported Games list

Community Games:

If it is not a supported game, check to see if there is a community-made Omni One binding and profile that you can use (you will have to manually copy across the game profile into the custom folder per our guide, and activate any binding the community has made on SteamVR). You'll find an unofficial support channel on our Discord server, which you join using this link:

Join Discord

When joining, you should mark yourself as an Omni Owner in 'Channels & Roles'.

Other Games:

If you wish to make your own profiles for currently unsupported games, you can consult our advanced guide. See Omni Connect Upcoming Features & Version Notes for advanced features not covered in our setup guide.

Step 3: Install Streaming App on Your PC

Omni One works with various PCVR platforms.

If you use Business Streaming, please change this setting in the Business Streaming desktop app:
General > Default Streaming Type > Change to 'SteamVR.'

Install the appropriate streaming app for your VR headset:

  • Business Streaming Desktop App

After updating your Omni One headset to the latest version (v1.141 or greater), you will need to update the Business Streaming app on your PC to version 2.1.2. Uninstall any previous version of Business Streaming you may have, then install the version linked above.

In the Business Streaming headset app, we recommend you go to settings and ensure that the 'disable home button' option is switched off. This will allow you to return to the Omni One home environment using the home button on the right controller.

  • Steam Link
  • Pico Desktop App

NOTE: Do not download the Pico Connect Desktop app to use with the Omni One Headset.
Only use it if you own a Pico Headset bought from Pico.

Steam Link is available on the official Pico Store in the headset and may be used instead of Pico Connect.

If you intend to use Pico Connect, search for "Pico Connect" in your headset’s app store to install the headset client app and use it with the Desktop app equivalent.
