PCVR Hardware Requirements

Omni One supports PCVR gaming through SteamVR using the Omni Connect PC driver. This allows you to walk and run naturally in supported PCVR games using compatible VR headsets.

To ensure the best experience, your PC, headset, and network setup must meet the requirements below.

Minimum PC Specifications

ComponentModern Minimum RequirementTarget Performance
Graphics Card (GPU)NVIDIA RTX 4060 (8GB VRAM) or AMD RX 7600*Low-to-medium settings, stable 72Hz
Processor (CPU)Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600Prevents physics and tracking bottlenecks
System Memory16GB DDR4 / DDR5Crucial for handling asset-heavy VR worlds
Storage1TB NVMe M.2 SSD (Solid State Drive)Eliminates texture-streaming stutters
ConnectivityUSB 2.0 x 1, Wi-Fi 6 Router**Mandatory for headset streaming and data link
Operating SystemWindows 10*** / 11Standard OS compatibility

*Your choice of graphics card can affect the features and headsets that your PC is compatible with. NVIDIA graphics cards typically have greater compatibility. For instance, certain Varjo and Shiftall headsets are not compatible with AMD graphics cards.
**Wi-Fi 5 routers can work, provided they are connected to the PC via LAN cable and the router is not serving multiple users simultaneously.
***Windows 10 may function in some cases, but it is no longer officially supported by Microsoft and is not recommended for new PCVR systems.

Compatible Headsets

Omni One supports the following SteamVR-compatible PCVR headsets:

  • Meta Quest 2
  • Meta Quest 3 / 3S
  • Pico 4
  • Pico 4 Ultra
  • Pimax Crystal Light / Super
  • Other SteamVR headsets*

*Other SteamVR headsets such as Valve Index should work, but may not have been tested, and compatibility issues with some games may exist.

For wired headsets, it's recommended to set up a ceiling-mounted cable management solution to keep the cable from interfering with player movements. Alternatively, a free-standing boom can be used to hold the cable, but care should be taken to prevent the boom from falling over.

Preparing Your Omni One Space

Find an empty floorspace for Omni One that is at least 6 feet x 6 feet (2 meters x 2 meters) in area. To avoid collisions during use, ensure that all sides of Omni One are more than 3 feet (1 meter) away from walls, furniture, and other objects. Keep other people and pets away while Omni One is in use.
