1. Select Play Mode:
When you start using your headset, you will be prompted to select whether you’ll be using the headset inside Omni One (“Omni One mode”) or outside Omni One (“Roomscale mode”).
2. Choosing Omni One Mode:
To use the headset inside Omni One, you must select “Omni One mode” while standing on the Omni One base.
If you select “Omni One mode” while standing outside Omni One, the center of your play area will not align with the center of Omni One, and your calibration in games will not be correct.
3. Choosing Roomscale Mode:
When not using Omni One, select “Roomscale mode”. The headset will request that you draw a safety boundary in your room to prevent you from running into walls or other objects.
4. Resetting the Boundary:
If you need to reset the boundary, go to the Quick Access Menu on your Home Bar.
Select Play Mode & Boundary.
5. Calibrating Omni One Boundary:
- Select Omni One Boundary.
- Check whether the virtual ground coincides with the Omni One Base.
- If the boundary is correct, proceed to select Play.
6. Identifying Boundary Errors:
- If your boundary is not correct, you will see bright blue and bright purple circular indicators.
- Adjust the boundary so that it aligns correctly with the Omni One base.
Tips for Optimal Calibration:
- Stand on the Base: Always ensure you are standing on the Omni One base when selecting “Omni One mode” to ensure accurate calibration.
- Check Virtual Ground: Regularly check that the virtual ground aligns with the Omni One base for the best VR experience.
- Reset When Necessary: If you move your Omni One or change your play area, reset the boundary to maintain accurate calibration.
