Your Omni One headset can be used as a standalone gaming system, allowing you to enjoy VR experiences without the Omni One base. Some Omni One games support locomotion without the Omni One base. However, this may not be the case for competitive multiplayer games. Check each game's settings to confirm if standalone locomotion is supported.
1. Switch to Roomscale Boundary:
- Turn on your headset.
- Select ‘Switch to Roomscale Boundary’ from the main menu.
2. Set Up the Roomscale Boundary:
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set the ground level and define your safe playing area.
- Once the boundary is set, it will appear if you get too close to the edge of your safe area. Always stay within the safe area to ensure you do not collide with objects or walls.
3. Adjusting Movement Settings:
- Launch your game and access the game’s movement settings menu.
- Some games start with both thumbstick movement and Omni One movement active by default. You can configure these settings as needed.
- If available, enable the alternate movement mode.
4. Choosing Movement Direction:
- You may have the option to choose between head (sight) movement and hand movement direction.
- Head Movement: Move in the direction your head is facing.
- Hand Movement: Move in the direction your hand is pointing with the controller. This is usually controlled by the left controller, but some games may allow you to change this setting.
