Overview
If you're having trouble connecting your Omni One system to PCVR or using it with SteamVR, this guide will help you identify and resolve the most common issues—including login problems, Bluetooth signal strength, streaming app mismatches, and controller recognition.
Issue: Can't Log In to Omni Connect
Solution:
Make sure you’ve created your account using the official Omni One app.
-
Download the Omni One app from your mobile device’s app store (search for “Virtuix”).
-
Create an account in the app and verify your email address (this may take a few minutes).
-
Open the app and log in at least once, entering the requested details.
-
Try logging into Omni Connect again using the same account.
Customer order accounts will not work with Omni Connect. You must have a Omni One user account.
Issue: Omni Shows as Disconnected in Omni Connect
Solution:
-
Verify You’re Using the Right Account
- Ensure you're logged into Omni Connect using an Omni One account, not a preorder or order tracking account.
- Click here to create an Omni One account.
-
Unplug and Replug the Bluetooth Dongle
- This can refresh your PC’s ability to detect nearby devices.
-
Turn Off the Omni One Headset (if using a different headset for PCVR)
-
If the bundled Omni One headset is powered on—even in standby—it may automatically connect to the Omni, preventing discovery by other devices.
-
If you are using the bundled headset with Business Streaming, the Omni may show as "disconnected" in the Windows system tray.
-
That’s normal—once you connect to your PC from inside the headset via the Business Streaming app, the Omni will become discoverable and connect automatically.
-
-
Check Bluetooth Dongle Setup
- Omni One requires a Bluetooth 5.4 dongle (available here).
- Before installing, disable your onboard Bluetooth adapter (usually named Intel Wireless Bluetooth) in Device Manager.
- Turn off all connected Bluetooth devices, deactivate the onboard adapter, and then plug in the new dongle.
- We recommend using a USB 2.0 port and cable for the dongle and extender (not a USB 3.0 port, which is blue), as some 3.0 ports can cause interference. Ideally, avoid plugging anything into 3.0 USB ports on your PC where possible.
-
Improve Bluetooth Signal Strength
- Move your dongle closer to the Omni’s power LED—this is where the Bluetooth receiver is located.
- Use a USB extender to bring the dongle within a few feet of the Omni if needed.
- Review our instructions to test your signal strength with ToolBlex
Issue: Headset and Desktop Streaming Apps Aren’t Connecting
Solution:
-
Wait at least one full minute after powering on the headset—it can take time for the headset to detect your PC.
-
If it still doesn’t connect:
-
Reboot the headset.
-
Confirm that the desktop streaming app is running, and the version matches the headset app.
-
The included Omni One headset should be using Business Streaming v1.2.9.
-

-
-
Do not confuse Business Streaming with Pico Connect. Use Business Streaming only if you're using the Omni One-bundled headset.
Issue: SteamVR Doesn’t Detect My Headset
If you launch SteamVR from your desktop instead of from inside the headset (using the Business Streaming app), your headset may not be recognized.
Solution:
-
Restart your PC.
-
Log into your Steam account.
-
Reopen Omni Connect and the Business Streaming desktop app.
-
Put on your headset, open Business Streaming, and connect to your PC from there.
-
Launch SteamVR inside the headset.
Issue: Omni One Doesn’t Show as a Controller in SteamVR
If you can't select Omni One bindings in SteamVR, or it doesn't appear in the list of installed controllers, it could be due to installation order. Omni One should appear in the SteamVR desktop application:
Solution:
-
Check SteamVR Add-Ons:
-
Open the SteamVR desktop app.
-
Click the three-line menu in the top left and go to:
-
Look for "omnione" in the list:
-
If disabled, enable it.
-
If not listed, uninstall and reinstall Omni Connect.
